• A question for the ladies. Do you mind being asked what your occupation is?

I was hanging out with a group of guy friends and they mentioned how much they hate being asked 'What do you do'? I am wondering if women feel the same way.

  • How do you get a real estate agent to shut up?

I dislike real estate agents just as I dislike telemarketers. Can't stand listening to them. Just this past week I had two real estate agents shove business cards in my hand.

My girlfriend and I have been dating 2-3 months and she told me she had finalized her divorce recently. This week, she started wearing a wedding band on her left ring finger. Should I be concerned? I sent her a text asking why she was wearing the wedding band and she explained that her mother bought the ring at an estate auction and she borrowed it from her mother. She wears the ring because she thinks its beautiful. In every relationship there are conflicts and you have to pick your fights. Please let me know if you think I should just let her wear the ring or if I should pursue the issue further and if so what I could do.

  • How long should I wait for my date to show up? She text messaged that she hit a traffic jam.?

This is our second date and she lives 90 minutes away. I checked google maps and there is a 4 mile stretch of interstate that is 'red'. My cell phone went dead while I was waiting for her at a bar. Should I run home, 20 minutes away and recharge the phone?

  • What is an "unrelated employer"?

This is a tax question. I live in Indiana but recently started a job in Cincinnati, Ohio. I am trying to figure out if I even need to file an Ohio Income Tax Return at year end. This is information from Ohio Form IT 1040: "Who Must File an Ohio Income Tax Return? Every Ohio resident and every part-year resident (see page 10 of these instructions for a discussion of “residency”) is subject to the Ohio income tax. Every nonresident having Ohio-sourced income must also fi le. Examples of Ohio-sourced income include the following:  Wages earned in Ohio (see “Exception” below);  Ohio lottery winnings;  Income or gain from Ohio property;  Income or gain from a sole proprietorship doing business in Ohio;  Income or gain from a pass-through entity doing business in Ohio. Exception: A full-year nonresident living in a border state does not have to fi le if the nonresident’s only Ohio-sourced income is wages received from an unrelated employer." So the question comes to my mind "what is an unrelated employer"?

  • How best to respond to a rude question.?

It is very typical recently when I go to nightspots that women will ask me how old I am when first meeting me. Now, this is not a polite question to ask. Miss Manners has a book that states it is best to get to know someone before asking personal questions. What is the best way to respond to the questions? And no, I'm not going to tell them... show more

I have responded by asking them how much they weigh, but that is rude too.

  • When going out on the town and hitting the nightlife, women almost always ask the question "How old are you?".

What is the best ways to answer this question, honestly. I have a group of single, male friends between the ages of 21 and 54 and we all come across this dilemna. Is this really a polite question for someone you just met to ask you? We feel age is not that much of a big deal in dating but this filtering question can potentially kill a lot of... show more
