My husbands dad passed away 4 years ago at the young age of 55. His mom took it really hard and was in a deep depression for over a year. A Little over a year ago she met a man who is wonderful for her. He has a lot of the great quality's that my husbands dad had. He has made her very happy. Last weekend at a family get together they announced that they were engaged and getting married on valentines day. My husband hit the roof, he thinks that she is moving to fast and trying to replace his father. He has gotten a long really well with this guy up until last weekend, they have spent quite a bit of time together and he has always been fine with him. Now he says he does not want him in our house, and if his mother marries him he will have nothing to do with her either. He does not even want either of them around our children. I could see this as being normal if he was a kid or even a teen, but he is 30 years old. How can I change his mind or at least make him understand that his mom needs to do what makes her happy? usually my husband is very logical but he is way overboard with this. Thank you for any help you may have!

I would really like some help with a family problem my husband and I are having. We have hosted all of the holiday events at our house since my parents passed away 6 years ago. Mainly because we have the biggest house. We have never had a problem with doing it we have actually always enjoyed it and felt blessed to have so much family and friend. But this year we want to take our 3 children and spend Christmas in Aspen Colorado, with a couple of friends of ours and their kids. We live in Palm Springs California so our kids have never had a white Christmas. We told every one about our plans at Thanksgiving and the way every one acted you would have thought we are commiting a crime. We have offered to still let every one use our house already decorated. All they have to do is get together and plan the dinner and such. But they are still being real pains in the butts about it. Especially my sister, she says we can not abandon our family at Christmas. Any suggestions on how to handle this?

But I am kind of reluctant to do it because of the side effects. I work as a nurse practitioner, and have several physicans as friends. But none of us has really heard much about Botox for Migraines. I found a couple of case studies on the web, but the were pretty skechy about the details. Has any one had it done ? Or know someone who has? Or any place I might find more information about it. I really want to find out if it works. I am getting pretty desperate for relief and get back to my life. Thanks Much! Kali :-)

Or gave their prescription medications to someone else. And these people who had moderate to severe reactions. There are many OTC/Prescription medications that can actually become toxic etc.. after experation. Also medications that are prescribed for for one person can cause problems in another patient. In one case a mother gave her 10 year old daughter cough syrup that was prescribed for the mother. It had codeine in it. The mother did not know the ingrediants in the cough syrup. The daughter was highly allergic to codeine. It took us over an hour and a half to stabilize her. Please check experation dates on all medications. And do not share prescription medications. It can be dangerous. And can be fatal. I would hate to have to treat you or your loved one's in the emergency room because of some thing that could have been avoided. Take care all. Kali

This morning my daughter who is 10 asked me if all this was happening because God was mad at us. I automatically answered no. But after the kids left for school I was laying on the couch thinking about it all. And yes doubt crept into my mind. Has anyone else ever had this happen? I just don't understand why after every thing that has happened in my life. That at this time when I need God the most doubt is creeping in. When I got home at 11:45 P.M. 2 of my kids 10 & 8 years old were setting on the couch watching TV. South Park of all things. I never let them watch it. My 3 year old was asleep on the livingroom floor. And the sitter was asleep in a recliner. She feed them just mac & cheese for dinner. And then let them munch on junk food.I was livid. And of course today I could not get my kids to wake up for school. I want to do something about this but I am not sure what. My sister says the damage is done. That I should just leave it alone and not use that agency again. I think I should file a complaint. What would you suggest? Thank You

But I work with a girl who is getting married next June, she is chubby and has mentioned that she would love to join a gym, but they are paying for the whole wedding themselves. I would like to give the free year to her as I am sure she would use it and appreciate it. I would like to make it an early Bridle shower gift. What would you do? I don't want to hurt my sisters feelings. But I can't see wasting another years membership on her for what it normally cost. Thanks ahead of tiem.
