Desolate, Eater of Worlds
And yes, I know the Living Tribunal played a part iij n Mephisto's plan to defeat the Beyonder. Why couldnt the LT just make him disappear?
And, technically speaking, couldnt the Beyonder have been another One Above All within his own realm?1 AnswerComics & Animation1 day ago
In my eyes, true wisdom is learning how to avoid being immoral. Most people dont want to just kill or rape or rob. But some do. But I guess it is safe to safe that everyone has been tempted by something immoral in their lives. (Probably even monks. They must wonder why all the strict rules and lack of ability to do something that truly doesnt seem wrong.) Anyway, god spent the first half of eternity all alone. No other separate, unique minds to interact with. And... I'd hate to say the conscience is really just a super ego, but in witnessing such violence in the world, I've become more than a pacifist. I've even been stoic before.
Now, with God waiting for such a long time, that goes to show he wasn't really always the Ultimate Concern. (If ever at all.) (And "timeless isnt a good answer. He still thought. That is a process. And an eternity cannot exist within a "singularity" of time. Something has always been happening.) And what did he do before he created Heaven and inhabited the place with angels?
With no outside world (society-wise), how did he ever develope an affectionate, compassionate conscience? Pondering? (Thatd seem like being a Holy Father would be more a thought experiment than actual Love.) I think, *IF* he has a conscience, it is either Prevolitional Knowledge (stuff he just knew forever) (but who's to say he valued it?), or he came up with a plan to be empathetic for the sake of those he created. Or... he is Immutably antisocial.8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 day ago
Poll: do you think it's right for a man to be given a life sentence for trying to steal hedge clippers?
In Louisiana, the supreme court just denied an appeal of a black man (news article mentioned skin color), who has been in prison for 23 years so far, and according to black female justice, has cost the state and its taxpayers $500,000.
He has a criminal history. Armed robbery (which, of course, he has served his sentence for), being in possession of stolen things, and simple burglar of an inhabited dwelling.
I believe he is just a man in poverty. Sure it is theft, but maybe it's just bread to feed himself and his family? (I'm a white guy, btw. Just felt the need to mention.)6 AnswersPolls & Surveys4 days ago
I just read that Dr. Tom Jefferson (from Oxford University's Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine) believes it wasn't just in China. That it was all over the world and that sewage and meat packing plants are around four degrees and that is what triggers it.
Btw, I read on another site that it has mutated. It has become more infectious.2 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 month ago
I read recently on T Nation that if you bake used coffee grounds for an hour or so (at 140 degrees) and eat it (like baking it in cornbread or something) it will help you lose weight. They said a 150lb person (someone imo that doesnt really need to lose weight) should consume 3 level tablespoons of it. And it helps with gut bacteria.
I weigh about 260, so I guesstimate at around 5 tablespoons (higher than level).
Anyway, would you be willing to give that a shot?3 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 month ago
I'm 29 and have been smoking since my 15th birthday. For the past year+ I've been smoking a pack and a half of Cheyenne cigars with the occasional cigarette. From age 15 to 23 I would cut the filter in half and put a cig out halfway and light back up 20 minutes later. Then from age 23 to 27 I would smoke a full filtered cigarette. I believe my heart is very weak. I've never had a heart attack, but it just feels weak at times. And that along with getting lazy with my workouts, it's kinda hard to get back where I used to be.
Anyway, I'm wondering if VO2max training (eventually lactate threshold sprint intervals) could be dangerous. Or would it help?

Dr. Peter Pry said if they did, 90% of us would die in the first year. 295 million, leaving 35 million people.4 AnswersPolitics2 months ago
Would it be a waste of $100 to buy a PS3 just to play a few games? How long do you think it would last?
A local GameStop has a PS3 for $100. I've never owned one before. I just want to play Red Faction: Guerilla, Red Faction: Armageddon and Call Of Duty: Block Ops. All of which I already own.
But I really want to play Splinter Cell: Blacklist because that is the only Splinter Cell I haven't played. And I'm sure Ubisoft has ended the Splinter Cell franchise.2 AnswersVideo & Online Games2 months ago
US Marines are supposed to be able to run a 4 1/2 minute mile, eventually. Navy SEALs? I don't know. FBI? I don't know.
But I was reading a not so enjoyable novel by a British guy named Matthew Dunn (his debut novel). The main character sprinted for 30 minutes (running away from two men) and covered 10 miles. That is a 20 mph sprint. 3 minutes per mile.
Is that really possible, or was it a grand exaggeration?1 AnswerRunning2 months ago
And that religious texts weren't demons posing as prophets playing a twisted little game? A game of killing each other over whose God is the right one.4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 months ago

Is it being a career criminal, or someone who has been arrested a few times? I was talking to my therapist and told her I think I score a 2 on the criminal versatility item of the HCL-R. Why? Because I have about 5 or 6 misdemeanors (all behavioral), and 2 counts of burglary 3rd. Does that qualify me as being criminally versatile?1 AnswerMental Health2 months ago
I've owned the movie for a few months now and only put it in a few nights ago. I only wanted to watch it because I heard it was good. I turned off my PS4 to go to bed and haven't finished it yet. I left off on the part where he tries to make a deal with that drug lord who looks white, after the guy who was supposed to make the deal flew back to talk to the boss.4 AnswersMovies2 months ago
