Best answer: I spent some time there. South Korea is the only country where I have been physically struck while walking down a busy city street for no reason. I found them to be rude, arrogant and quite bad company socially. As a foreigner, if you aren't a white American you would be best to avoid the place. Koreans are very nationalistic, and seem to believe themselves superior to everyone, even the 'white American' (and let's face it, the typical white American has little to offer anybody). If you are from anywhere else like Australia, or UK then they kind of pretend that you are American by not mentioning that you are from somewhere else. If you are an African-American I suggest you avoid the place completely, unless you have no choice or in the military. I'm quite sure that their North Korean neighbors are much nicer. Actually, Korea is lucky to be there at all. It has been invaded and occupied by many different peoples over the centuries. Hopefully China will invade the place again and stay this time. Try Japan, it has more class.
