Iv been seeing this girl for a few weeks now. We jus got chatting and got on really well then hooked up. Starting hanging out a load and everythign was really good. The first 3 weeks were seeing each other were so easy and we got on brilliantly. then she went home to work that weekend and i only got to see her once the followig week, then the same this week. due to her uni workload etc. since this last week has passed she seems really disinterested in anything between us. Last week i asked her 'whats happening ebwteen us' basically asking her out. She sort of dodged the question and got upset, saying she always messes up relationships and that she has been single for a year and loved it, but hat she was having a really great time with me and this was the most serious shes been with a lad since she split from her ex over a year ago. but she almost sounded liek she wanted to get together but cudnt.in a wierd way...? I stayed with her that night and in the morning we were all kisses and cuddles again her asking me not to leave. anyway Since then she almost seems not interested in me, being unavailable alot and generally like im just another lad. or at least thats the impression i get. The keen affection she always showed has fizzled out and texts are 2hr reply jobs where before she was almost instant. The whole situation is driving me mad, because i actually really like her. and she admitted really liking me. the first 3 week were awesome. now its getting silly, and i genuinly cant think of much iv doen wrong??? good ideas of how to sort this one out wuld be brill, cuz i actually really like the girl. cheers

Aright, well im 14 years old and im a girl. I have been likeing this guy in my high school but we dont have any classes togehter I have never talked to him, but i want to. My passion is dogs! I feel like I have a gift for it! People have told me too! I have grown up not ever being able to have one so this only made my inspiration grow more! I read all the books I could..I know SO much! And I love it! I love German Shepherds and this person on youtube Ashley Brook with a German Shepherd has just changed my life! I want to become a vet or dog behaviorist or something like that! I am not certain exactly what but my passion is that! People thought I was crazy when I was younger playing dog lol..and reading only about them..but i just love it something my parents know and see but don't understand about me becoming one. my parents grew up in europe were the first generation here (i was born here). they were shocked when they saw how Americans live inside with their dogs and how they neuter them and stuff...but they got used to it..but just don't agree that a dog should be kept inside and animals and stuff because in Romania and Austria that's how it USED to be..in Austria it changed in Romania it has only somewhat... but yeah they think its not a nice career. they are very sophisticated people..my dad was an engineer and they like doctors and engineers and stuff like that.. i would like to become a heart surgeon as my cousin was one..and I honestly do like that a lot..but I don't yearn for it as much as a "dog" career.. please help..i just got into high school..i grew up in america..so i take animals from a different point of view than my parents..to me its not just a dog..its a friend..a gift.. i don't know how to bring this up to my parents..everytime i do they laugh and say your joking..i just don't want to hurt them..they did so much to come here in america for us to ensure we have a good education and career..and i don't wanna do something that will make them not have respect for my job..and i could never bear that... My skin and hair have become SUPER oily! To the point of nasty. I take a shower before bed,and by the next day mid afternoon my hair looks as if i havent bathed in a week! my skin is the same way. It is very imbarassing. I have been washing my face, and hair with products for "oily" skina nd hair but they do not seem to be working. I am also using just powder make to lessen the oil but it is really helping. Does anybody have any advice. And also will this eventually go away. Has anybody else had this? PLEASE PLEASE help.

Okay, so here's the deal. My parent's already know I'm gay and have known since I came out back in 2005. My dad recently found my "Legalize Gay Marriage" t-shirt in the laundry and hid it from me for a day. When I confronted him, he said that he took it so he could talk to me about the shirt. He told me that he didn't support the fact that I bought the shirt and wear the shirt out...basically, he didn't support the fact that I was in support of the whole anti-Prop 8. He told me to not wear the shirt (I don't wear it all the time, though) and also told me that in his lifetime, he does not want me to have a boyfriend or get married. I feel like he's not respecting my beliefs and he's not letting me be who I am, and that disturbs me so much, because I thought he already accepted me for everything that I am. It turns out he hasn't quite yet, I guess...I'm so frustrated. I'm 20, still living under his roof (since I'm a full-time student), and I feel like I don't have any control over my life anymore...I feel like I need to submit to his wants, instead of what's inborn. It just makes me sad...

I think my mom is and alcoholic. She'll drink at least a bottle a night, every night, and she wont stop untill shes too tired and goes to bed. She gets so angry(but not violent) when she drinks. She'll call me and my sister little s**ts and tell us we suck evertytime we try to help her. One time she got so mad she threw out computer aganst the wall. She used to go out and drive when she got drunk and go and get fast food and eat it all in her car. Shes gained so much weight too. She has no energy to do any exersise. And her stomach is bulged out really weird, and im guessing its from her liver expanding (we learned it in health class). Shes so nice and caring during the day and acts like any other mom but when it hits three o' clock (she starts early to "prepare for my sister coming home from school") she hits the bottle. She makes everyoneso angry at her. She once did go to AA for about three weeks and stayed sober for that time, but then after a while she started critisizing the other people there saying she didint drink as much as them and she didint hurt any one else. Everytime i ask her ro maybe not drink tonight she say "well the house wasnt spotless when i came home so no" thats her exuse forr why she need to drink because we dont clean the house. but then in the morning she forgets everything. And my dad was an alcoholic but now he goes to AA and has been sober for a year, but they are divorsed and i live primarily with my mother, and another one of her exuses is that shes stressed because of my dad.

Red is the most dominant color that represents Hester and her sin of adultery. One of the purposes of this symbolism is to show that Puritanism is hypocritical and that their religious viewpoints are against the natural order…” The most well known symbol is the scarlet letter Hester is forced to wear with a few other symbols including Pearl, Hester’s daughter, the scaffold, and the various symbolic colors used to represent the emotions of Hester and those around her. These many symbols in The Scarlet Letter helps the reader comprehend the hidden messages behind everyone of the characters to get a better picture of Puritan society during that era and Hester Prynne’s suffering through its damnation. The scarlet letter "A" happens to be the most influential symbol throughout The Scarlet Letter. First the "A" is meant to be a symbol of sin, and the damnation the wearer will have to face after death, however, as time progresses, it is seen as having many meanings. Hester is a woman that is well ahead of her time, she is vocal, proud, head-strong, and confident, in an age where women were to be seen and not heard. In The Scarlet Letter she is said to have “adorned the letter in fine red cloth surrounded with elaborate embroidery and fantastic flourishes of gold thread…” which illuminated it in a way so it would gain the attention of spectators. Instead of the scarlet letter “A” humiliating Hester it later transforms into a more positive representation, eventually it comes to stand for “Able”. Hester Prynne’s scarlet letter was later said to be “…the symbol of her calling” and Hawthorne writes, “Such helpfulness was found in her-so much to do and power to sympathize-that many people refused to interpret the scarlet “A” by its original signification. They said that it meant “Able” (145; ch.13); so strong was Hester Prynne, with a woman’s strength.” For every character the “A” has its own meaning, to Pearl, the “A” is mysterious and when she creates an “A” on her chest made of green seaweed it represents her purity and innocence, but also signifies her future as the daughter of sinner, for Roger Chillingworth the “A” represents his quest for revenge, and to Reverend Arthur Dimmesdale, the A is a piercing reminder of his the guilt. Another major symbol in The Scarlet Letter is Pearl, Hester Prynne’s daughter. Pearl symbolizes the goodness that can result from a sinful act, she also symbolizes the shame that burdens Hester and Reverend Dimmesdale, and finally, because she is a rebellious child, she symbolizes the wild passion that led to the adulterous tryst. To Hester, Pearl is seen in two different lights, “She is my happiness!—she is my torture, none the less! Pearl keeps me here in life! Pearl punishes me too! See ye not, she is the scarlet letter…” (100; ch.8) Pearl is a very perspective and defiant child unlike the many children during that era. The Puritan society sees Pearl as having “witchcraft in her,” being almost elfish, and acting as an evil creature other than the little child she is. Pearl’s stark difference from the other children is that she was raised in an environment of freedom which led her to express her own individuality. Pearl symbolizes Reverend Dimmesdale’s part in the adultery just as much as she symbolizes Hester’s. Pearl does not accept Dimmesdale as her father because he is not truthful about what he did, until he admits his sins, she forgives him. In a way Pearl connects Hester Prynne and Reverend Arthur Dimmesdale together because she can be seen as their savior. As her name suggests, she is something valuable that came from their sin. The scaffold, in Puritan society, was a place for public humiliation and a place for public forgiveness. The scaffold is a religious symbol that signifies judgment day when everyone will stand before God to be judged where to spend their eternity.
