How to dress in turkey in start of dec?

Question

i'm making a trip to turkey, the istanbul area.
i'd like to know how cold it'll be then..
just an estimation would be good :)

does the weather need us to wear padded thick jackets an a lot of shirts (very cold) or
like just shirt and regular jacket (just chilly)

make sure that you ll be dressed up warmly

winter is heavy in Istanbul. Usually it snows.
Take warm clothes but make sure that you ll have some comfortable pair of shoes with you. Ist is so huge, you ll definitely need to walk a lot to see the sights...

dont worry if you ll forget something or if you dont have the proper clothing
The market in istanbul is huge as well, it has EVERYTHING that you ll ever ask for and prices are pretty low (at least than the rest European Countries cause of Turkish currency)

Megan, the temperatures for the start of December are usually in the mid to upper 50’s during the day and 40’s at night. You should be just fine with a long sleeve shirt and a jacket. My rule of thumb is to layer, as you can always take layers off if you get warm! Have a great trip!

You probably need padded thick jackets and wool sweaters, gloves,wool cap- if it snows or rains- umbrella, boots etc since there may be snow storms or very cold nights- even - degree's at night. You don't have to carry them all with you though; you can find very good bargains and all kinds of brands and models of clothing in Turkey.

i would say dress for winter it can get below freezşng at nıght and in the day sometimes the sun is out but still can be quite chilly so i wouşd say yeas to jumper and warm jım jams for sleeping..have a good trip...

Well it does sort of depend on where you are going, but Turkey does get pretty cold by December.
