In France, is it cheaper to stay in Paris or Nice for lone female traveler?

Nice is cheaper, Paris as is usually the case for capital cities is the most expensive place in France.
Paris itself is quite safe, as long of course as you don't walk around in dark small streets at night alone away from the city centre, don't have your bag open to all, don't leave your things around without supervision, and have a minimum of safety rules you would use in any city.
Nice is just as safe, as long as you follow the same safety rules.

Well they are both pretty expensive but Paris would be more expensive but if you have never been there you should go to Paris because it's without a doubt one of the most beautiful and interesting city in the world. Nice is pretty and near the ocean . So it depends what you want to do if you want to visit go to Paris, if you want to just relax and see a french city go to Nice.
They are both really safe especially Paris
