How do i fix my mouse? It's behaving really badly?

It keeps on scrolling with each few keystrokes and being really eratic. Anyone have this problem before? What did you do to fix things?

firstly is it desk or laptop then if it is laptop do you know if it is whether you are plugged in while it does it? or just anytime?..if it is a laptop..in any case..go to your control panel and go to hardware go to mouse and open the link coose the tab that deal with options and adjust the speed of the mouse the way that suites you..i have windows 7 which looks like vista but doesn't act like it but that's where i go to adjust ..if you have xp it is the same principle except xp has a separate icon in the control panel for the mouse..
