-ve ion will be greater than its element due to repulsion force will be increase between electrons in outer shell due to addition another electron
+ve ion will be smaller than its element due to Attraction force because decrease no.of electrons in outer shell where the nuclease has +ve charge more than its shell so Attraction force decrease size
Na
Cl-
Cl
Se
k
Rb
Mg
N-3
also as aomic no. increase the size will be diffrent where from up to down at perodic table the size wiil be increasedue to another shell will be add make diffrence in zise
also at perodic table from left to right zise decrease due to attrection force incerase

anything with a plus charge will be smaller because it has lost an electron
whereas anything with a minus will be larger because it has gained an electron
also if you use your periodic table, any thing with a smaller atomic number will be smaller eg O is smaller than Se
hope this helps

anion (negative ion) - smaller than regular element
cation (positive ion) - bigger than regular element
the more the atomic number the more bigger the atom is
refer to the periodic table
