The Ibanez definitely.

But, apart from brand, you need to look for specs on the guitar that most fit your taste and your personal comfort. For instance, if you have thick fingers, you need to look for a guitar with a thick neck, so you can push and pull the strings without worrying about not having enough space to do it.

So, first on the list is physical comfort. As I said, look at the details on a guitar that make it comfortable for your hands and arms. Also, another important thing is the guitar's weight. How heavy do you want it to be? Are you gonna be playing sitting down or standing most of the time?

Another important thing is the location of the cable's plug on the guitar. Some of them have the plug on the body(near the pickups), some of them on the side of the body. Make sure the location of the cable on the guitar is not uncomfortable for you.

Oh, almost forgot. String height and tension. This is crucial. Make sure you try the guitar and get a feel of the string's height and tension. Some guitars have their strings too high or too tight. This is a very uncomfortable obstacle to struggle with, specially if you're starting out.
And dont be fooled by the store clerk if he tells you that "you can get low-tension strings". This is true, you can get low tension strings, but be aware of the following: most of the time when guitars have tight strings, they need to be calibrated before changing their strings to a low-tension set. If this isnt done (or isnt done correctly), then you´ll notice that the strings will rattle against the frets and this really messes up a guitar's sound. Be very careful with this.

And now that we´re talking about rattling, test that the strings dont rattle againts the fretboard when plucking them hard. For instance, hold the 3rd fret on every string and pluck it hard. Check if it rattles, and if it does, ask the store clerk about callibration. Has the guitar been callibrated the shipment arrived to the store? Do they have "recallibration guarantee" on new guitars? This is important stuff right here.

Lastly, about the amp. Try it using the amplifier you´re gonna have. Dont test the guitar using the big amplifiers from the store, but use your own, so you know exactly what you´re getting. Some people test drive their guitars and come home to their amp to find that "it sounds different". Dont make this mistake, take your amp to the store if you have to.

Then, once youre comfortable with it, you want to check its sound. Try it and see how you like the sound of the guitar.

Thats all I can think of. My overall advice is, try it before you buy it.
Remember that this is your first guitar and its gonna be with you for hundreds of hours of studying and playing and enjoying, so you have to love it.

Good luck!!
