Help with immigration please! I'm pregnant with his baby!?
I have just found out I'm 2 months pregnant with my boyfriend. I live in Canada and he lives in America. Is there anyway I can get down there legally to live there? I want my baby to have a daddy. What are all the alternatives (visa wise) and what is best? Thanks!!

Typically Canadian's don't have a hard time immigrating to the US. Sure we make fun of Canada, but it's more like how rival High Schools make fun of each other. You can pretty much just cross over the border -- there's not too many "patriotic" Americans trying to build a fence and fend off immigrants on the Northern border.
You would probably want to come here to have the baby. If (s)he is born in the US, that makes the baby a Natural Born Citizen. And other people have already said, if you want to make sure that INS (who, again, usually don't care about Canadians) doesn't send you back to Canada, marriage is easiest way to go.

No thanks, I'm not in the mood to support you and your kid today. Thanks though. Stay in "canada".

Your best option is for the two of you to get married.
He can apply for a K-1 Fiancé(e) visa by filing an I-29F with the USCIS. Once approved, you can travel to the US and provided you marry within 90 days, apply to adjust your status to that of legal resident.
More information is in the link below.
Good luck :o)

Did you see this being an issue before you got pregnant?
If you become his fiance, he can petition for a K visa. If you get the K visa you would have to get married within 90 days(I think its 90 days...). After that you would get an immigrant visa with conditions. After 2 years of that you would have an interview with USCIS to determine whether or not the conditions will be removed. (Green card)
The other option is to get married in Canada, and then have him petition for you as a spouse of a U.S. Citizen. If the petition is approved you will start the long process of becoming a legal resident (Green card).
Good luck.

You can get a working visa, but thats pretty hard actually. I tried getting one moving to Canada, thats why I'm still here.
Your best and easiest was is to get a Marriage Visa.
You can stay in the country for 6 months without any visa though. So you could always move down here and stay with him and work out the Visa along the way.
Or you can have the kid on American soil and that means your kid is a natural born citizen which will entitle you to get a family visa.
