Any recommendation or tips for touring South Korea this december?

I'm going to South Korea during december, so I was wondering if there was any tourist/non-tourist location I must absolutely visit!

Kyungju or Gyeongju - however they spell it now.

It was the capital city of the ancient Korean kingdom of Silla, and you can visit the Seokguram Grotto and Bulguksa Temple, which are UNESCO heritage sites. They are very beautiful.

If you are going to Seoul, I recommend just visiting the Han River at least once at nighttime. It is very serene and has an awesome skyline.

Last but not least, go to Jejudo, the largest island in Korea. You can hike up Mt. Hallasan. Although since you're going in the winter, you can't really enjoy the beaches, but the countryside is still very beautiful there too.

I visited Gyeongju and lived in Seoul and Jejudo for a few years.
