How far is it from Perth to Sydney by train and by plane?

If I wanted to see Sydney and to come from Perth .what is the better way to go there-by train or is it a very long journey ,or by plane?

From Perth to Sydney by train is 5,000 km and a three night journey. It's a great trip; if you like major train rides; but can be boring otherwise. Here's a link to the "India-Pacific" rail journey. It is also more expensive than flying.

Air flight takes 5 or more hours (depending if you go via another city), and is the only real option if you don't want to spend 4 days on a train.
