Switzerland (Geneva)?

Hi, i need to know where is the rail station in Geneva that allows me to take a train to Zermatt. I went to www.sbb.ch and found a train that goes to zermatt. However as i am new to this city, i do not know where is the train station. Is it near the airport? As i'll be catching the morning train, i need to stay near the station.

If you are flying into Geneva Airport, the station for the airport is part of the Airport terminal. Just follow the signs saying "Station" or "Gare CFF". You then take the InterRegio train (IR) whose final destination is Brig. Just disembark at Visp to take the train up to Zermatt.

If you already in Geneva itself, you will need to head to the main station, the "Gare Cornavin" which is on the "Place de Cornavin". Most trams and buses stop here at some point on the journey. Here is a map showing the location of the station:

As I am unaware of your price range for hotels, I have provided you with links to lists of hotels in Geneva (in the "Sources" section).

Please contact me if you need any more information,
Hope this has helped,
