It is form of one country with different perspective in politcs. Both North and South want Korea unified, but in their type of government. They don't consider themself "North or South Korean", but simply Korean. The only problem is that propaganda is affecting North Korean youths... The older generation miss their relatives in South Korea, but the younger generation are brainwashed, so unifying Korea is not going to happen unless the people revolt. (which is never)

Korea had always been one country, Stalin got the allies to agree to divide the country into two.
The North became a communist country, lead by a mad man, and the South is basically a democratic country lead by different elected leaders.
Until the insane ruler of the North dies there will never be a united Korea.

Because the North of Korea wanted to take over & become Communist, just like China! Of course, everyone thought that it wouldn't be so serious, that it was just talk beause The North & the South of Korea would never managed separated people though. The North is all the hard mountainous land where all the industrial business in, & the South is like farming area, so, back then it was perfect. The South of Korea didn't want that, so, of course they started war. The U.S helped out alot, like alottt. Let's just say that if the U.S didn't help out the south, I would not be here and it would be one big communist Korea.

Right now the war is still going on. It's just a peace treaty. OMG! I remember last year, North Korea was doing something fishy with their nuclear stuff, we almost had to evacuate. We the stupids/kids. We had to leave our parents behind cause we were first priority. It was scary going to school and thinking like, wow, any minute something could happen. But yeah, I'm so happy nothing happened.

Korea used to be one country, until the commies from the north tried to take over. We, the U.S., along with the south Koreans stopped them at the 38th parallel. Today we call it the Korean War. Which is where it stands today. North Korea is a separate country with a separate government.

North Korea and South Korea are separate countries. There are talks about reunification, but that won't happen in the near future.

Koreans are one people. However, they are separated by an imaginary line and oppressive government.
