I just got one of these heaters yesterday! To be completely honest I am totally disappointed. Please don't waste your money. I called to see about returning it and they informed me I would have to pay to have it shipped back, plus lose what I had already paid in shipping. So basically I'd lose a 100 bucks. It is really cute, but cute don't warm my room. It said it's suppose to heat up to 1300 sq. ft.. NOT. My room is little and I didn't even turn my heat back. The heat goes straight to the ceiling. I wish now I'd have spent a little more money and got an Eden pure like my parents have. That thing will chase you out of the room. Anyways, other then being pretty, it don't do the job that is for sure. Good Luck on whatever you get.

thanks for the honesty, going to check into that Eden
I bought one about a month ago. It heated my office just fine which was all I bought it for, but now the flame went out. Only after one month. So I'm screwed because I'm not wasting a 100 bucks for them to send me a new one... My opinion, save your money.

Remember the Quartz Heaters? "Invented" in Europe, they heated the furniture in the room so every piece of furniture becomes a heater! They sold thousands with that goofy premise.

A friend of mine just got one and she loves it.

Edenpure is even worse. They use technobabble that fools senior citizens into spending hundreds for junk. A 1500 watt heater (like Edenpure) puts out no more heat than a 1500-watt heater from Target. And heat can do no such thing as "ride the humidity" in the room. Both are total scams.

Basically, one 1500 watt electric heater is about the same as another; it's better to buy one for $30 to $70 than to pay $300. They're really not that effective, however, except in a small room. They cost about 18 cents per hour to run. Edenpure also has poor reviews and is expensive.

I got 2 last year, top heavy, high return cost to dealer, electric bill about $100 higher using part time. I just saw the ad in USA weekend and in the Parade, might be 8 cents a hour, if you just put the flame on, otherwise plan on $1.08. I can't believe they put them in there. Where is Paul Harvey

It Sucks no Thermostat stay away from this $5.00 heater that don't work Scam Artist at their Best, Run from this Product get a Eden Pure or a Pelonis a real Heater

Srangely, "Heat Surge" web site has NO phone number. The rip-off of unauthorized $74.50 will be met by my credit card fraud complaint, a call to abc-on-your side radio station plus letter to AARP to warn senior citizens of false advertisement: "SAFE to TOUCH'.
