How many days will it be good to tour in taipei?

Hi, I'm planning to visit Taipei this year-end but I'm not sure how many days I should spend there. Any advise on how many days I should spend in Taipei and what are the places to visit and see there?

Two to Three days should be more than enough to cover Taipei City. Remember, Taiwan is much more than just tiny Taipei- try to get out of Taipei and into the central mountains. Some places you can consider seeing in Taipei includes: CKS Hall, Martyr Shrine, Taipei 101, Shilin Night Market (good food), Danshui Old Street, Fort San Domingo, Beitou Hot Springs, Yangmingshan, Eslite bookstore, Ximending, and the National Palace Museum. Use the MRT(subway) to get around since it's reasonably priced and efficient. Also look for the free shuttle bus from the MRT station to Taipei 101.

you should also consider jet lag. If you're flying from the west or europe you should plan for at least one night to just sleep and get over the time difference before you pack in all that touring in 2-3 days. I hope you would spend more time there. There is more to see than just the city. Just outside of Taipei are the mountains and the ocean which is quite beautiful as well. I would plan on spending a good 5 days there to see everything and also have time to SHOP.
