Cheapest way to make a round trip to Adelaide from Singapore?

I have some time before my army enlistment in April and I'm thinking of going to Adelaide (in Australia) to stay with friends for about a week or two. What's the cheapest way of flying there and back? The exact departure date (anytime between Jan and mid-March) is flexible. I don't mind stopovers etc. Any help will be much appreciated!

the cheapest i can find is on malaysian airlines for $913US
which is $1,335SPD

lol you sound like a friend of mine!
anyway, try checking out the budget airlines - jetstar especially!
if jetstar doesnt service singapore (im not sure) you can always take a bus ride to malaysia and fly from there.

i was told it only costs about 1k Msian ringgit so probably half of that sgp dollars. and remember end of feb to early march is always peak season, so tickets will be more expensive. january should cost you less.
