Prozac is actually used extralabel in dogs and cats for behavioral modification. According to petplace.com, the average dose is .5 to 1mg per pound. If your dog only got into one, she should be allright. Watch her closely. If you see vomiting, seizures or jaundice (the whites of her eyes will look yellow) then take her to the vet! It's also possible if she JUST ate it to use hydrogen peroxide by tablespoons until she vomits. Good luck!

My answer is, if this was your child would you be waiting for an answer from here? Call the vet or the doctor that prescribed the ProZac and ask them. Things like this could require emergency attention!

I think she'll be fine. By "design" this crap needs several days to build up in the body to take effect.
IMHO, your dog will have few unpleasant nights without much sleep.
Call your vet "just for peace of mind".

Call your vet. I am sure they won't mind answering a question like this over the phone.

My 15lb cat ate the same thing. I called Animal Poison control because the vet was closed. They told me the cat would be fine that they do give Prozac to animals. If your vet is open just give them a call. You can also call Animal Poison control but it costs 50 dollars.

This has happened to my dog. First stay calm and keep your dog calm, it may get a bit hyper from the prozac. Call the vet and get your dog in as soon as possible. Also make sure your dog drinks lots of water as it will help get the meds out of him faster. Hope everything works out ok.

Call your vet. NOW. You're dog will probably be OK, but don't take any chances, OK?

If she is otherwise healthy she should be ok until you can get her to the vet. Watch her for seizures and put your meds where she can't get them accidentally if you haven't already. Dogs are sometimes given prozac by vets so she should be ok, just check with the vet to be sure. Don't be embarrased this happened, dogs do crazy stuff, my mother's labmix ate her dentures once.

What are you, insane? Call the Poison Hotline or better yet, your vet -if you even have one. Stop wasting time playing at Yahoo Answers on the computer and get your dog to the vet! Minutes can mean the difference between life and death sometimes.

urm...accidentally?
what did she do, open the packet herself and swallow it? sounds like you're a bit of an irresponsible owner, if you leave ProZac where your dog can get to it.
Get her to the vets. Now.

Call you vet. But she should be ok as they do prescribe Prozac to animals.
Good Luck
