Accutane help?
I have been having some problems with my Accutane. I just recently noticied blurry vision coming on that I never had before. Also a few weeks ago had a migrane that caused me to vomit which I contacted my dr. about but he said it was not because of the accutane. Now I am begining to wonder if I should stop this drug. Anyone that has heard of these things or been on accutane that could advise me???

I'm not aware of any connection between accutane and migraine headache. BUT, it is not surprising that you are having blurred vision. Accutane affects the production of oil from your body's oil glands. The meibomian blands at the base of your eye lashes produce oil. The purpose of this oil is to provide a consistant oily surface on the tears which lubricates the eye and also retards evaporation. So any decrease in the production of oil (which is what accutane does) can easily affect your tear quality and thereby affect your vision. Hope this helped.

I was on accutane a few years back. I don't remember getting any headaches that I thought were related to the medicine. My biggest problem with it was I had to buy a new tube of chap stick every week....
I'm no medical expert but I would try not taking for the medicine for a day or two to see if your headaches and blurry vision cease.
Other than that I think I would trust your doctor.

I've had headaches, and they were Accutane-induced. My dermatologist (Dr. Ramsey Markus of Baylor College of Medicine) is highly reputable and he told me that patients on Accutane who experience headaches often are more prone to depression, so please let your doctor know this. You could try lowering your dosage.
