Is 5 mg of hydrocodone considered strong?

........ 750 mg would KILL you. 5 mg of hydrocodone is a typical vicodin pill. 5 mg of hydrocone / 500 mg of acetiminaphen or whatever. They only make pills with hydrocodone in them up to 10 mg!!!

It was prescribed to me, I'm not using it recreationally.

No. Max--of 5/500 Hydro-co-done is two every 4-6 hours. becareful taking medical advice on WWW--most of us, like me, aren't doctors. 750mg of hydrocodone will for sure put you to sleep (body death) but then you get to wake up from this dream we all are having...sorry I'm in the wrong category--I know...

It all depends on how much you weigh and also on how much you have eaten recently. I usually have to take 500 mg to get any relief. Hope I helped!

No I usely take 750mg when I have a tooth ache because of a gum dese I get alot of them

Thay is a narcotic..so..even 5mg -could negatively affect a person if they are unaware of any possible allergic reactions...so,- if it ain't prescribed to that person by that persons doctor, then they r taking a chance due to it being a narcotic, no matter how slim a chance it is, it could be a devasting result.. Under normal circumstances though.5mg will not be considered strong if you weigh around 150--170... Peace and be careful...Camrod

5mg/500mg is a moderate dose in the painkiller world.

Take as directed and you should be fine.

As for being strong, that depends on alot of factors. Your size, pain level, and reaction to meds.

I had to take that dose after my hand surgery. The first couple of doses made me drowsy, but once I adjusted to it, it didn't faze me.
