absolutely but i would reccommend bactrum ds, a great antibiotic for sinus infections, from one who has been there many times.

Bactrim DS, azithromycin, and Augmentin are all commonly prescribed for bacterial sinus infections.
Be aware, however, that most sinus infections are actually from a virus and not a bacteria. Antibiotics such as the ones listed above do not do anything for viral infections - the body defeats the virus all by itself and the antibiotic gets the credit!
That being said, you should consult with your doctor. I can't tell if you have a bacterial or a viral sinus infection but your doctor can probably figure it out.

I wouldn't take an antibiotic unless my doctor prescribed it specifically for me. Taking only a partial course could make your infection antibiotic resistant and then you'd be in serious trouble. Not only that, you might not even have a sinus infection or the doctor may know a better antibiotic for you.

If you were prescribed it - go ahead!
It's a great medicine that works quickly.
