Malaysia!!!!!!!!!!?

Question

which is the best place to visit in malaysia other than genting sunway lagoon and KL.
im a singaporean n would like to travel 2 malaysia for within 1 week stay.it would be nice 2 hear places which are near to singapore n yet very fun... not so far as penang and KL.

Not as far as KL and Penang will leave you with little choices.

If you are for "water", maybe Pulau Sibu (or those around the area), Desaru might fit your needs. Although I think 1 week in either places will be too much.

How about Taman Negara then? With about 4days - 1week, you will have more than sufficient time to see everything.

If not, Fraser hill might be a decent place too. Lesser known than genting / cameron highlands, but it is a very nice place for a short stay (2-3 days!).

If you want, you might be able to combine Fraser Hill with Taman Negara too.

Penang will be one of the place you should consider visiting. Apart from its fun filled beaches at Batu Ferringhi, you can also visit the heritage city of Georgetown, some mysterious temples (Kek Lok Si), beautiful parks & hills, clan house and many more.

Malacca is good place, you can see many historical things there. Cameron Highlands is good too, there have many
beautiful scene, the temperate there is around 21 degrees.

ok....in that case,Malacca would be a good place for you to visit.It has many historical sites for tourists to visit and rich cultural background due to its past Portugese colonization.
Penang is also another good place to visit if you dont mind.The island state itself is not just a hub for foreign tech firm investment,it is also a food paradise where you can find all-time great hawker food like char koay teow ,laksa etc at a cheap rate.Also, you can find nice beach and resorts in Penang.

Malacca is good, Port Dickson although alittle further than Malacca is also a nice place to visit. If you wish to go somewhere nearer, maybe Muar is a good town to visit. Lots of excellent makan there!

If you wish to have a pleasant quiet break, I would suggest Sebana Cove in Desaru. Its a short 30-45 mins ferry trip there and you can enjoy rounds of golf, trips into the forest, etc.

Perak. Pangkor is a place for great relax. Not very expensive, yet you can get the beautiful beaches and the natural environment of the trees,, Hornbill bird and other animals. You can also go to Cameron Highland, where you can pick strawberries, tea leaf, cactus farm, and a hot steamboat at night is a must have meal!

Penang. Genting and Sunway Lagoon is a place for some fun but not to know the society and the local people. Penang is a place of historical, modern city and great places to eat food.
