Have you ever taken Naproxin?
I was just given a prescription for it the day before yesterday and I'm scared to take it. Has anyone ever had any bad side effects from taking it?

I have taken almost everything under the sun for pain. Naproxen is an NASAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug) like Ibuprofen. It's a little different. It has been around of many many years with little incident of serious effects. It is actually the generic form of aleve. It's a cheaper equally effective form.

I took it for a while for headaches. It's the same as Aleve but stronger. It's been around for many, many years and is safe.

I take it on occasion for back pain and it relieves the pain. It works for me. It's prescription strength Aleve. It's safe and it doesn't have narcotic effects.

I've taken it. It's in the same class of analgesics as Ibuprofen -- perfectly safe. I think the generic name for it is Ketoprofen (notice the same 'ending': "profen"). I stick with Ibuprofen because it is cheaper. If Naproxin were cheaper I'd be taking that when I need to.

It's prescription strength Aleve. It's good stuff - I've taken it several times and never had any problems with it. It's not one of those pain pills that leave you feeling stupid or stoned.
