What right as step-parent (no prior marriage)in Illinois to not disclose my income/tax info to child's parent?

my husband was never married to his 3 year old's mother, and is in a custody battle right now. He has to provide his tax returns to his son's mother - what rights do I have as a step-parent to not disclose any information that is MY personal information? My income, our joint property tax and mortgage interest amounts, etc? I thought privacy laws protect, and I don't want his ex-girlfriend (son's mother) having any of my personal information. There was no previous marriage, thus no divorce - custody and child support issues are the only legal battle we have.

This info should only be given to court investigator, they will not provide your info to bio-mom. Was this court ordered to provide directly to her-that would be extremely unusual. If you have to disclose directly to her just black out your personal info and then make a copy of it or else she might still be able to see it. BTW-my husband and I file separately to avoid accidentally disclosing my info to his ex!

I agree that we will probably file our taxes seperately. We still need to meet with the lawyer on the details - but I feel encouraged; thanks
